Kintsu is auctioning validator slots before launching governance to ensure decentralization, active participation, and high performance. During this pre-governance period, trusted validators can secure delegation rights through a fair auction process that establishes fair, market-driven price discover for validator revenue on Kintsu. Initial validator registry slots on Kintsu are available for auction as part of the Monad EVM/Accathon project. A total of 25 slots are offered, with each slot receiving an initial delegation of 3-5% of MON tokens staked on Kintsu. Validators compete for delegation slots through a second-price auction, where winning bidders pay the amount of the second-highest bid. Using the Revenue Opportunity Modeler, bidders can project their potential earnings based on their assumptions about Monad’s FDV, circulating supply, Kintsu TVL, and more. This auction helps Kintsu bootstrap a robust, high-performing validator set while keeping the protocol decentralized and fair from the start.
